While this might have been the worst kept secret in the world of beauty this season, there’s no denying the anticipation levels were off the charts for the new Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay. Featuring 12 all-new shades exclusive to this palette, this takes Naked onto the next level. While Naked and Naked 2 were all about brown and taupe neutrals, Naked 3’s rose gold packaging hints at the glorious pinkier-toned shades within. I’ll be showcasing a few different “looks” with this very soon, but here’s a first peak at what’s inside.

Open up the undulating palette to find twelve of the most delectable, mouthwatering shades. From cream to shimmering pink, rose gold to light browns, there’s all you need for a soft, daytime smokey eye that’s warm and cosy all at the same time. Think of big fluffy cashmere sweaters in your favourite colours – they’re all in here. My faves include Burnout, a light pinky-peach satin shadow, Buzz, a metallic rose shimmer and Trick, a pinky gold shimmer.

Moving to the right hand side of the spectrum and the darker shades are perfect for smoking out that look – intense and deeply pigmented – exactly what we’ve come to expect from Urban Decay. Mix them up with the lighter shades for a daytime smokey eye, or focus on the six darker shades for a night-time party look. My faves from the “dark side”? At the risk of sounding cliched, it’s really hard to pick but at a push, I’d have to say Liar, a light mauve shimmer, Factory, a pinky-brown satin and Blackheart, a showstopping smokey black matte shade brought to life with red micro-sparkle.
The £37 palette, including a nifty double-ended applicator/blending brush and samples of the four eye primers (yes, four, who knew?), launches online and in-store at House of Fraser and Debenhams nationwide (and of course at all the usual online stockists) on 16th December – perfect for a Christmas gift, or just for yourself?
