And for makeup, I’m keeping it simple. It’s going to be all about flawless skin tonight, helped by Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and my mix of two shades (8 & 9) of By Terry Densiliss. Blemishes and dark circles will be banished with a concoction of BeneFit’s It Stick, Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer (in Biscuit) and Illamasqua’s Skin Base Lift (in Deep 1). My current favourite Urban Decay Naked 3 palette (here) will give me all the rose-gold shades I could hope to need, anchored over a base of MAC’s Painterly Paint Pot as a base, and defined by MAC’s Feline black eyeliner, a quick curl of Shu Uemura’s lash curlers and a swipe of current rave, Sensai’s 38ºC Volumising Mascara, (here), which promises not to budge, no matter how much I blub my way through Auld Langs Aye!
A little contouring won’t go amiss, so I’ll be turning to And Other Stories Face Contour Cream, highlighting the cheekbones with a touch of Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector (in Moonstone) and blushed up with Makeup Store Blush (in SugarPink).
Lips will be kept simple yet pouting with a light outline from Rimmel’s Exaggerate Lipliner in Obsession, a swipe of Charlotte Tillbury’s K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick in Penelope Pink and glossed over with Chantecaille’s Lucky Lipgloss.
And that’s it! Time to go party! Wishing you the very best for New Year’s Eve, hope you have a wonderful evening and see you on the other side – may 2014 have only good things in store for us all.

Thank you for your lovely comment – this was such a long time ago I’d almost forgotten about that gold and cream top – I’m going to dig it out of my wardrobe for a dinner this weekend – thanks so much for reminding me about it!
Lovely to have you here as a reader!
