I do so love a smokey eye, but pulling it off in an elegant manner for daytime can be a bit tricky, so I’m super impressed with the the mini-makeover I had by BellaPierre cosmetics at their press day, which saw me waltzing out with a fabulous take on a daytime smoked-out eye.
The mineral brand has followed up the success of its pressed foundation, blush and bronzer with a collection of pressed eyeshadow palettes. You can choose from a palette of three or five, and the selection of shades makes each palette completely wearable – no annoying shades that will never get used lurking in the corner here!
And the eyes! We used the trio palette in Brown Eyed Girl to create a softly defined, understated take on the smokey eye. Nothing so intense that I couldn’t go onto my next meeting, but oh-so-much-more than the simple brown eyeliner I’d applied that morning.

There’s also a lovely palette of five lilacs and purple which I’ve got my eye on and I love the way the same shade can look completely different when worn with or without an eye primer. The trios are £20 and the quintets are £27 – so great value, methinks.
Do you have any of these? What do you think of mineral make-up?

The whole of your makeup is gorgeous here. I’ve never tried this brand though so you’ve really tempted me to try it now!
Thank you! Glad you like it 🙂
Thanks so much for your comment!!
