BEDTIME BEAUTY ESSENTIALS (AND MY FAVOURITE PLACE)

It’s not often I give you a little look into my home, but this little corner in my bedroom is currently my favourite place. The rest of the house is still upside down with redecoration, but when I look at this little space, I can feel a sense of calm and tranquillity. It’s my bedside table, (or nightstand, as I think it’s called in America?), and it’s where I keep my bedtime beauty essentials, so I thought, today, we could take a little look?

There’s nothing earth-shattering here; a table lamp, some flowers (faux), some books I like to flick through when I’m relaxing, a Dior candle that was a gift from a friend, and my bedtime beauty essentials.

So let’s talk about the beauty bits, because that’s what this is all about.

These are the items I use in my beauty routine last thing at night, so I keep them together in this little gold dish that was a present from a friend a few years ago.

Apparently, we can lose around a litre of water whilst we sleep, so if you’ve ever woken up dehydrated, now you know why. The first place I show and feel dehydrated is my lips, so I’ll always apply a nourishing lip balm before I go to bed. My favourite is the By Terry Lip Balm, to ensure I wake up with soft, moisturised lips.

Bedtime Beauty Essentials 79 Lux Hand Cream and Body Balm

Whilst we’re on the subject of moisturising, I always apply a hand cream too. My current favourite is the new one from 79 Lux. I’ve loved their Body Balm as a super-indulgent ultra-nourishing body moisturiser, so I was really excited to try the Hand Cream and it does not disappoint. It smells delicious, thanks to the Rose Geranium, the addition of Squalane means it’s super hydrating and moisturising and the Vitamin C is great to help brighten any pigmentation marks and age spots.

Since we went into lockdown back in March, I’ve been a really good girl and regularly used the RapidLash Lash Growth Serum and RapidBrow Brow Growth Serum too. They’re so easy to use, but so effective (it takes around 4-6 weeks to see the growth but boy, when you do… wow!) I’m so used to using them that I actually apply them in the dark, once the lights are off. If there’s just one thing you add into your beauty routine, this would be the one – the results are incredible with hardly any effort – it’s a win-win!

So that’s it, Very simple, but effective products that can work their magic whilst I get my beauty sleep.
