Jane iredale lipliner lipstick lip plumper concealer

I know it feels like we’re well and truly into summer now here in the UK, but I’m a little behind and still spring cleaning! I’ve been clearing out, chucking out and selling or donating all manner of things, including clothes, shoes, bags and even books. I’m still in the process of Spring cleaning my makeup bag to a really pared down, everyday makeup look, but a few new items have earned their place onto my daily face, and I wanted to tell you about them.

You know I’ve been a long time lover of mineral makeup in general, and Jane Iredale has been one of the brands I turn to regularly. Recently, I decided I wanted to try out a mineral makeup version of my two daily-use lipliners, MAC’s Spice and Cork. So off I went to Jane Iredale to see what they could offer me in terms of shade dupes. Et voila! I now have my everyday lip – you’ll see this combo on me just about everyday from here on in, so if you’re ever wondering what’s on my lips when you’re watching my Instastories (the most common question I get asked on a daily basis), then wonder no more.

Jane Iredale’s Lipliners in Terra-Cotta and Nude are the perfect matches for Spice and Cork. I tend to outline and fill in my lips with Terra-Cotta and then out line again, after applying lipstick, with Nude, for extra definition.

For my lipstick, I’m wearing Jane Iredale’s Just Kissed Lip Plumper in Milan, for a glossy, my-lips-but-better everyday lip. The slight minty tingling is so refreshing and I’m loving the high sheen (I’m so over the matte mouth for a daily look; I find it much more ageing).

I’ve also discovered a new concealer which I’m now obsessed with. I saw and swatched it at a Jane Iredale press day, and went out the very next day to track it down and buy it. (You can see from the photos I couldn’t wait to photograph it, I had to start using it straight away!) The Enlighten Concealer in shade 2 has the perfect peach tones to totally cancel out the dark shadows under my eyes. It literally lifts the face and outer corner of my eyes; I don’t know why I’ve been without it for so long.

There are also quite a few other new bits that have gone into my new-season makeup bag, but I’ll save those for another post.

Let me know if you decided to pick up any of these and if they make it into your makeup bag too.

lots of love
