You won’t have seen many beauty boxes reviewed on these pages, mainly because I don’t really subscribe to any. I’ve loved the ones I’ve been sent in the past, but mostly I tend to find I get tiny little samples of items I don’t really want or am excited to try, that just end up gathering dust or eventually get thrown away. (Exceptions would be the Glossy Box, which always comes up trumps, but…), There’s always a but, isn’t there? Glossy Box requires a subscription (as do most beauty boxes). Granted, you can always cancel your subscription at any time, but who, like me, always forgets?
So imagine the perfect beauty box. No subscription to sign up to, chock-full of products you actually want to use, and in good sizes too! Enter the Tili Box, (Try it, Love it) now in its fourth month, from QVC. The carefully selected collection is a combination of must-haves, current favourites and things I’ve wanted to try but haven’t yet got round to it. Given that it comes from QVC, one of my favourite places to shop beauty, it was always going to be a winner.
This month’s collection includes favourites skincare from Alpha-H, Erno Laszlo and Liz Earle, sun protection from Ultrasun, haircare from Julien Farel, makeup from it Cosmetics and Benefit, fake tan from Vita Liberata and nail colour from OPI – I know! I’m amazed at the collection too!
Most of these are already staples in my beauty routine, such as the Ultrasun Face SPF30, Erno Laszlo Cleansing Duo and of course, the Alpha-H Liquid Gold – although this is a lovely little extra for Alpha-H lovers; the Liquid Gold included in this box is the new, exclusive-to-QVC, Rose edition – a gentler, more hydrating version of the original award-winning Liquid Gold. I’ve also been loving my full-size it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream, so it’s lovely to get a little sample perfect for travel. Same goes for my Benefit Rollerlash Mascara and of course, the perennial Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, complete with a muslin cloth. (Although, if I’m being picky, I’m not sure why we have two cleansers in the box – one brand would have been enough).
New to me, and I’m excited to try, are the Julien Farel Anti-Ageing Vitamin Shampoo and Vitamin Conditioner hair duo, a brand I’ve yet to experience. And with summer just around the corner (I promise!), it’s great to have the Ten Minute Tan from Vita Liberata. Summer nails haven’t been forgotten either, with a seasonal-appropriate shade from OPI – mine’s a gorgeous lilac shade called Polly Want a Lacquer?
As you can see, there are no duds in the box, no brands that you feel are just fillers. All are best-sellers at QVC, some award-winning and all are high-end luxury beauty. There’s no feeling of disappointment when you open the box, no feeling that you’ve been fobbed off with some second rate products just to fill the box. These are all very covetable must-haves that have been picked carefully to give you a lovely beauty box experience.
And the best bit? The whole collection costs just £20 with no subscription! Even if a couple of the products are not for you and you end up giving them away, it’s still an absolute bargain at that price!
You can buy the box here: click this link – and even if you’ve never shopped at QVC before, you’re able to buy and take advantage of this fab deal (I know friends who’ve bought more than one…just saying).
Are you a beauty box aficionado? Has this one caught your imagination like it has mine?
