planning blog youtube 2017 noble macmillan new diary new year

First off, Happy Christmas to all those of you who were celebrating yesterday and over the festive season. I’ve just been blathering on on my Insta-stories (if you’re not following me on instagram, you missed out on 24 giveaways for advent – so make sure to be following me for lots more giveaways coming up soon – click here) about how Christmas is, for me, a time to spend time with family, eat lots of good food and show the people you love how much you care about them, whether that’s through exchanging gifts, giving them your time (the most precious thing you can give, in my opinion) or just by actually telling them. Never underestimate the importance of actually telling someone how much they mean to you.

So before I get too slushy on you, I want to say thank you for being part of my blogging journey this year and past years, especially recently, when I know I’ve not been posting as regularly as I used to. Partly because I’ve been doing vlogmas, which means I’ve been vlogging and posting a new video everyday for the month of December. It’s the first time I’ve ever attempted vlogmas, and I don’t think I was totally prepared for how much time it takes, how much it takes over your life and also your family’s life! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved doing it, and learned so very much from it, the main thing being it takes careful planning ahead, not doing what I did, which is decide to do vlogmas on 30th November and start uploading videos on 1st December. So I’m definitely planning to do it again next, planning being the operative word! But if you read my last, most previous post, which admittedly was a month ago, you’ll know I’ve been going through a little bit of a difficult time, which I’m now working through, so thank you for being patient with me and if you’ve stuck around, please know that I’m so so appreciative of you, your support, your public comments here on the blog and your messages that you’ve been sending me privately. I honestly don’t think I could have got through it without it all.

I started writing this post with an aim in mind, but now that I’m my third paragraph, I’ve kind of forgotten what it was, as the emotion as taken over. Looking back at the title gives me a little reminder, but I think I’ve probably shared enough for now, so expect another post from me very soon, hopefully one that will make a recognisable point!
