Last month, I featured “Chanel Week” here on the blog and on my YouTube channel, including a couple of Chanel Shoe videos and an introduction to my Chanel makeup collection, with a promise for the second part. Along came the summer holiday, during which time I took a proper break from blogging, (but went crazy on instagram, here). Now, after what seems likes ages, here is part two – so sorry for the pause!
Some makeup I buy to use, some I buy just because it’s so beautiful, almost to beautiful to use.
If there’s one item from Chanel that always catches my eye it’s the eyeshadow quartets. Perfectly packaged, perfectly balanced, they always contain the right combination of shades to compliment, define and prettify the eyes. The pans are just the right size, not too big, not too small – who needs an eyeshadow pan the size of a saucer anyway?
I’ve used, and continue to use my eyeshadows from Chanel – the quality is so great that they just go on and on. Beautifully pigmented, a little goes a long way, so I’ve only hit pan on a couple of shades, and you can see how old that one is by the shape of the compact. They blend beautifully too; I always use my own eyeshadow brushes to apply, chucking out the little applicators on a regular basis.
My favourite? That would be like asking me to choose my favourite child. They are all so beautiful, so necessary! Check my YouTube for tutorials on how I’ve used them in the past.
And the limited editions. I’m a sucker for them, I’m not even going to pretend otherwise.
Now I have a question for you. If you had to use only one makeup brand, which would it be?
