Strobing, the latest beauty technique to set the beauty world alight (sorry, I couldn’t resist!)
Essentially, strobing is nothing more than highlighting the heck out of your face and leaving the regular contour routine for another day. If done right, it brings radiance and an ethereal glow to the face. Get it wrong and you could end up looking a bit sweaty and greasy. Pick the wrong highlighter and you’ll look like a disco ball.
Stay tuned for a YouTube tutorial next week on the easiest, foolproof way to strobe, and in the meantime, meet my holy grail highlighter, the collab between Becca and American beauty guru, Jaclyn Hill – I present to you, Champagne Pop.
Becca has long been known for their highlighters – Opal and Moonstone Shimmering Skin Perfector liquid highlighters have long been staples in my makeup routine and the more recent Pressed powder versions are a makeup lovers dream. So makeup addicts around the world literally went wild for the launch of Champagne Pop, a beautiful soft white gold (with peachy rosy undertones), incredibly finely milled shimmering highlighter that suits every skin tone and has become the go to for beauty lovers everywhere.
I literally searched high and low for mine while in Vegas just now on holiday, dragging my poor family around with me as we went from one Sephora to another, in my quest to come home with one. I already have so many fabulous highlighters in my collection, so was it worth the quest? I have to say, without a doubt, it absolutely was. It’s been my go-to ever since I got my hands on it, and I only wish I’d bought two (although that wasn’t an option at the time: I bought the very last one available in the Vegas Sephora stores, thanks to the very lovely sales adviser, Annie, who called round and asked the other store to hold it for me – I managed to buy it on my very last day – there was no way I was going to the airport without it!)
You can save your shoe leather though – although it’s exclusive to Sephora, you’ll probably know that Sephora ships to the UK so you can order yours here. Check out my other Becca favourites here to see how it compares to the other shades, and let me know if you’re a Becca fan too – will you be ordering Champagne Pop?
(ps – I’m wearing the new Daniel Sandler Intense Volume Pro Mascara – isn’t it amazing!?)
