I literally haven’t been able to stop staring at my face whenever I pass a mirror or shop window since I started wearing the new Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream.
This little miracle wonder airbrushes the skin, leaving it radiant, seemingly poreless, smooth and velvety soft. There’s no need for powder but it’s not matte or flat on your face. It’s super-comfortable, very lightweight to wear and lasts all day without having to touch-up. Better than any BB or CC cream I’ve tried, the skincare benefits are impressive. Hydration comes from marine extracts, while mineral electrolytes help to energize the skin cells and antioxidants help your skin to defend itself against environmental stressors. Oh, and did I mention that it also offers an SPF30 PA+++ (the highest level of UVA protection).
I’ve applied it both with fingers, for a more natural finish, and with a stippling brush for slightly more coverage and it performs on both counts. (A buffing brush gives slightly more coverage, but not much). Giving light to medium coverage maximum, it’s the perfect step-up for summer skin, when you don’t want to look too made up, but you need a little something to even out the skin tone and add that radiance and luminosity that’s so youthful. Swatched above are Ginger (the lighter shade) and Spice – my perfect match and what’s on my face in the top photograph.
It’s been my go-to since I first started wearing it – I think I’m a little bit addicted to the effect it gives my skin, both how it looks and how it feels, so watch out for this in an upcoming favourites video.
I’ve long been a fan of Bare Minerals (click here to read more about that) and this just gives me reason to love the brand even more!
