Budget Buy: The Baked Blush That’s Lighting up My Cheekbones

My eagle-eyed followers on instagram (follow me there – I’m @beautypassionista) went gaga for these new Creme Puff Blushers from Max Factor and with good reason. I’ve been a lover of the baked blusher for a long time now, my favourite to date being the Laura Geller Blush’n’Brighten, which you can see here. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes are beauts too, but expensive, at £28 a pop and the Milani ones are so very difficult to get hold of here in the UK.

So I was super excited to try Max Factor’s versions which weigh in at a very affordable £8.99 each. Subtle enough for a pretty daytime look yet pigmented enough to build up, I like to wear a mix of two shades (Gorgeous Berries and Lovely Pink) for a naturally flushed, luminescent finish. There’s a sheen to them that makes them perfect for a dewy Spring-time look – I’m so over the matte face that we’ve all been wearing during Fall and Winter – yet there’s no glitter, so they’re incredibly wearable, even for glitter-phobes.

There are six shades to choose from, (I have four here), each of them adaptable enough for most skin tones, although I would say that Gorgeous Berries and Alluring Rose will probably be my favourite shades for darker skin tones – will you be picking any up?
