Victoria Beckham does Nails Inc

Just in time for New Year’s Eve, I got my mitts on this! But what with playing Florence Nightingale to a household full of sick people and trying to get three kids back to school (took one to school yesterday morning only to find her school doesn’t open until today!), I’ve been a bit remiss at getting this up here for you.

Of course, there’s been a huge hype around the launch, and I did wonder before I parted with the cash whether it was yet just another celebrity link up not worth all the excitement. But then, hey. We are talking nails inc, who’s nail varnishes I always love, and Victoria Beckham, who’s fashion line I also love – and both brands are always all about the quality, so I coughed up the £45 for the VVB x Nails Inc duo and waited for them to arrive at my door.

At £22.50 per pot, these beauties are even more expensive than my usual high-end hit, the Chanel nail varnishes. But these really are quite special. From the special edition matte bottles, to the transparent side panels that show through the colour and the glass container, these are as slick as nail varnishes are going to get.

And the colours – oh my! The nude colour is the perfect bone nude, doesn’t streak when you apply even the first coat as so many nude shades do, self-corrects very well and looks just as beautiful with one coat as it does two – I actually prefer it on my fingers with just the one coat. The red is a vibrant tomato shade, veering on the edge of a very wearable reddish-orange.

I’ve layered the red over the nude just down the centre of the nail, for a bit of super-easy nail art! They’re both perfectly offset with with these golden skin jewellery tattoos, soon to launch from STYLondon – stay tuned for more information, or head on over to my Instagram (@beautypassionista) to see what I’m on about.

Would you spend this much on a bottle of nail varnish?
