I’m such a creature of habit…when it comes to my perfumes, that is. I’ve lost count of the number of times the husband has been asked to dash to duty-free to repurchase one particular perfume for me every time he travels – even now I’m waiting for him to go on his business trip so that he can flex the credit card on my behalf.
But every so often comes along a new fragrance that I can’t get enough of, and that’s all you’ll smell on me…until the bottle runs out! This season, I’ll be scenting myself with the uplifting new Van Cleef & Arpels Aqua Oriens Limited Edition, and not just because I can’t stop staring at the exquisitely beautiful bottle. Fresh, light and fizzily fruity, the top note of juicy sweet pear just makes this fragrance so more-ish, but the dry-down to musky amber keeps it from being too sweet for my tastes.
And can we just talk about the bottle again? If ever there was a perfect perfume for a present, wouldn’t this be it? Like a piece of fine jewellery, this multifaceted crown catches the light beautifully, sparkling away on my dressing table – I could lose myself for hours just staring into its depths.
It’s the perfect scent to take me out of the dark and dreary winter months – I can’t help but feel happy and positive when I wear this. I’m already dreaming of a beach holiday whenever I spritz and that can’t be bad!
Which scent will you be wearing this Spring?
