Desperately holding onto the last vestiges of summer, I’m throwing my lot in with the bronzing brigade. I’m currently loving these two beauties from Bourjois, not just for their ultra-cute packaging nor for their crave-enducing chocolate fragrance (genius!), but because they both leave the skin looking so beautiful!
It’s hard to find drugstore bronzer that shows up on my Indian skin tone, or worse still, doesn’t leave it looking muddy and dirty, so the Bronzing Powder in the Delice de Poudre Duo (top) has been a revelation. You really have to scrub away at the pan with your brush to pick up the product, but once there, it does wonders for the skin. Perfect for carving out those cheekbones and adding warmth all around the outer edges of the face. The Highlighter has a lovely pearlescent sheen to it (thankfully no glitter here) to light up those areas of the face your want to bring some attention to – I’m talking cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the cupids bow, under the brow arch and even on your collarbones with none of the dreaded silver chalkiness that I sometimes find in drugstore highlighters.
If a pearly-pearly glow isn’t quite your thing, then the golden sheen from the Gold Bronzing Powder (Delice de Poudre Bronzante Or) is your guy. Perfect for reliving those summer holiday moments and keeping the last of your tan alive, it’s great for dusting over the cheekbones, décolletage and shoulders. It’s going to be a lovely evening highlight even in the depths of winter (you KNOW it’s just around the corner!)
Apart from my foundation (Bare Minerals), eyeliner and mascara (Tarte) and lipstick (KIKO) all I’m wearing is different combinations of these two on my eyes and face. Yes, they’re not as finely milled as the shadows I would normally wear on my eyes, but I just wanted to see if I could get an all over bronzed glowy face look with just these two, and I’m rather impressed.
At only £7.99 each these little bronzing books are a great addition to your bronzing library – see what I did there!
