Regular readers will know I’m a huge natural lash and mascara gal, but the faff of eyelash curlers means that I can usually only be bothered with them for really big nights out. But all that changed when these beauties fell into my lap.
Surratt Beauty has already been featured and raved about once on these pages (click here for a full tour on my current favourite makeup brand) but I said you’d see more of it here and it’s time to let you in on something I think you all should know about. Surratt Beauty’s Relevee Lash Curler rocks. There’s no better way to describe it. I’ve tried so many other brands and when needs really must, I turned to Shu Uemura ones, possibly because every makeup artist under the sun told me that they’re the best there is.
I beg to differ.
The Surratt design is wider so I can get all my lashes in - from corner to corner, they all get the treatment they deserve. Not something I’ve ever managed to do with any other curler. Plus (and this is a BIG plus!), it opens up wider too, so it’s easier to cram all those lashes in. And somehow, this imparts a natural curve, curled and wide awake, but not so that I look like I’ve been startled or that my lashes have been ironed into place, all without me feeling like I’ve squeezed the living daylights out of my lashes. And who can resist the beautiful matt black-ness?
What I previously eyed up suspiciously as an instrument of torture has now been transformed into a thing of beauty and an (almost) daily part of my beauty routine. (It’s even come on holiday with me, and that’s really saying something!)
Sorry Shu Uemura. There’s a new kid in town.
