I just love mooching around my local independent pharmacies; I never know what gems I’ll find and the bargains to be had – oh my! If you remember, I bought my Mason Pearson Brushes, all three of them, for just a fraction of their retail price on a chance whim visit, so I’ll always stop by, say hello and see what they have on offer.
The sales assistant knows me quite well by now, and the other day, she convinced me to buy the Vichy Lumineuse Sheer Radiance Tinted Moisturiser. As I didn’t have any in my stash, I thought I’d give it a try and I’m happy to tell you, I’m seriously impressed.
Don’t go expecting any sort of coverage at all from this, that’s not what this promises. What it does do is offer a luminescent, radiant glow to the skin, a just-back-from-holiday sheen that’s healthy and fresh. If you need any coverage at all, make sure to keep your concealer to hand, but don’t go heavy with it, you’ll ruin the overall look. This is the base for the natural look at its best, perfect for right now while I’m on holiday and don’t really want any coverage at all, and for prolonging the look of my tan when I get back. There’s all the usual skin benefits of using a Vichy product too, such as fruits extracts, vitamin A and pro-vitamin B5 to stimulate cellular renewal. And although it says it’s for dry skins, my very normal skin is absolutely fine with it, even in the heat of the Spanish sun!
I wear Shade 03, Dore Gold. I have to say, I was surprised to find a shade that suited an Indian skin tone as it’s not something I’ve come to expect from Vichy but this one delivered on all counts – shade, pigment and undertones.
If you’re a darker skinned girl like me and fancy a drugstore tinted moisturiser, I’d definitely recommend this one.
