The temperature’s rising and with it the need for waterproof makeup. Love it or hate it, (taking it off at night is always a chore), waterproof eye makeup is a must on holiday, so I’m currently loving these new shades that Bourjois has added into their Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eyeliner line up. From Taupe of the Top, a dreamy golden taupe, Dynamint, a neon minty turquoise green, right through to the madly bright pinkness of Pink About You, there’s no ignoring these bright boys.
If you’re looking for a pop of colour for your summer makeup, it’s worth taking a look at these. Super creamy, easy to apply, no dragging the delicate skin around the eye area and when they say waterproof, they mean waterproof. I have very watery eyes, and these stay the course. Used on the waterline, they stick around for a good four to five hours. I was in the pool for two hours straight and they were still there when I emerged! Used straight onto the skin, and blended out for a smudged out look, there is no creasing and no budging until the oil-based makeup remover comes at it.
If you were looking at my Summer Makeup Tutorial (click here to watch) and fancied recreating, Dynamint is a fabulous budget version of the Daniel Sandler Aqua Eyeliner for approximately half the price, although not quite as intensely pigmented.
I’m loving using them with minimal eye makeup; just a quick curl with my latest obsession (read all about that here), a slick of my new mascara (post coming up about that real soon) and a slick of one of these neons to take it to the next level. (I’ve actually been loving using the pink shade on my lips as a budge-proof lip colour – genius!).
Make sure to stay tuned to my Instagram here where I’ll be posting a face shot wearing these fabulous colours – and I’ll try to remember to update this post with the photo too if I get a chance.
