Holidays are all kinds of wonderful aren’t they. Sun, sea, sand, beautiful places and wonderful food. Perfection in so many ways. Apart from the horror that is the baring of the bikini body. I’m talking C-E-L-L-U-L-I-T-E. Who’s with me, girls?
This summer has seen a girls’ weekend to Ibiza, two weeks in Marbella and more recently, a week spent swanning around the Med on a fabulously glamourous cruise liner, all of which focus the mind on the parts of the body we’d rather not show. Cue diet, manic gym sessions and fingers crossed for results. This year, I decided I needed to get real and not just trust it all to a wing and a prayer. Ten days on VacuFit (post on that coming soon) ramped up the exercise regime, but not to leave anything to chance, I got serious and started slapping on the creams that get results.
Karin Herzog is known for her results driven, high oxygen content, skincare so I turned to her Dynamic Duo in my quest for a better version of me. With celebrity clients including Kate Middleton, Uma Thurman and Victoria Beckham, I figure I’m in good hands. Starting with Silhouette, a firming anti-cellulite body cream, I apply this all over my thighs, no massaging required (yay!) and leave it to get to work while I potter around the room or start on my make-up or hair for the day. I’ll then follow by massaging in Tonus B12 toning and draining cream, formulated with vitamin B12 and green tea to help my body’s metabolic function and break down the fatty deposits (double yay!), reduce water retention and puffiness.
Clinical results have proven a visible difference in circumference, so while I know I won’t end up with Victoria Beckham’s thighs, I’m hoping for a real improvement after 30 days’ use. I’ll report back once I’ve done a whole month – who knows, I might just wear hot pants for the first time!
