The Nails: Monday Mani – Feeling Blue

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Damson

Last week I went all Tipp-Ex white on ya ass with the eye-catching Coconut from Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly Nail Paint range (read about it here). It wore so well (I’m talking a whole week without chipping or tip -wear) that I thought I’d check out another summer shade from the range.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint Damson

Damson is a perfect deep cornflower blue – striking enough to garner tonnes of compliments, yet not so bright that I feel like I’m trying to be a teenager again. As with any attention-grabbing shade, make sure your nails are in good nick before applying – no ridges or nasty cuticles to hanging around to ruin the look. Two coats sandwiched between a base and top coat (I’ve been using De LeWinn’s Renunail as a base – FYI the BEST base coat/treatment product I’ve ever used, and Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri Top Coat for a glossy, no-fuss finish) makes for a perfect summer manicure that goes as well with denim as it does with whites and summer neons.

What colour should I go for this week?

xXx
