Ok, so the By Terry Terrybly Or Rose compact is not new as such, but new to me and one I’ve been lusting after for a while. So when I saw the price crashing down to half price in the Space NK sale, I was all over it like the proverbial. And I’m so glad I did.
I’m a rose gold lover, there’s no denying it. From the rose gold accents on the Alexander Wand Rocco Bag which I hunted down from some European website, to the metallic rose-gold iPhone 4S case (still sitting in its packaging; the week after it arrived, I switched to the iPhone 5, now soon to be sold on ebay!) to countless rings and my Michael Kors rose gold watch, it’s become something of an obsession. Consequently, Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette (here) quickly rose (pun intended!) to the top of my palette list, and this beautiful compact from By Terry went from being a lust-have to a must-have.
From the glorious rose-gold metallic packaging to the super-tactile, shiny-pebble-like compact, there’s nothing not to love here. And that’s before you prise it open to reveal the most delightful quilt effect shimmering rose gold pressed powder. Truly precious, 24K rose gold microparticles and finely milled pearls combine with amino acids, vitamins and light diffusing pigments to create the perfect highlighter for a rose-gold lover like me. Typical of Terry, really; everything she does is infused with skin-pampering ingredients. Attention to detail is everything; look really carefully and you’ll see the words By Terry embossed into the straight lines between those gloriously puffy pillows of pink
Silver-based highlighters are too cold for my skin, true gold too yellow; this baby has the perfect mix of gold and pink to warm and lift my skin.
Surprisingly, as I write, there are still some in stock on the website, down from £72 to £36…but not for long. I predict a sell-out.
