Once in a while comes along a product that instantly gives you that “why didn’t someone think of this before” feeling. Soreen’s ready sliced Malted Loaf comes immediately to mind. Nivea’s In-Shower Body Moisturiser* is the latest shining example. Or should that read ‘hydrating example’?
When I’m rushing to shower and get dressed in the morning, the last thing I need is the faff of waiting for my body moisturiser to sink in so that I can get dressed. Cue some very embarrassing antics trying to get into a pair of skinnies with the yet-to-be-absorbed moisturiser foiling my every attempt to make it out of the door in time. And please don’t tell me to forgo the creams; I’m a moisture fiend!
So when the boffins at Nivea came up with this little gem, I’m sure I’m wasn’t the only girl in the land to breathe a sigh of relief. Although it’s a new concept (to me, anyway) it’s really not that confusing. Think of it as you would a conditioner when washing your hair. Wash. Rinse. Condition. Rinse. And so it is with this In-Shower Moisturiser. Wash as normal. Rinse. Apply all over. Rinse. And voila! Beautifully soft, moisturised skin just asking to be dressed pronto! Perfect for those days when you have to be up and out in fifteen minutes (new alarm clock desperately needed).
It’s a fab price too; just over £5 for 400ml but I’ve spied it on offer at Boots at the moment for £3! It comes in two variants, one for dry and one for normal skin.
Of course, there’s nothing I love better than slathering myself in a bit of Kiehls Creme de Corps, but perhaps not the best idea when I’ve overslept, eh?
