Waiting around for prescriptions in the little independent chemist on my high street is always dangerous. There’s alway so much to discover, lots of little new brands and lots of the “drugstore” brands that we all know and love. I don’t think I’ve ever left there without buying something little beauty bits that I obviously don’t need, but patently must have!!
My last little accumulation of unnecessaries was this little trio of Rimmel Salon Pro nail varnishes. The actual launch of them (unusually) passed me by, so I’m not sure when they first graced the shelves, but what I can tell you is that they are fabulous value for just £4.49 each – and actually, when I bought these, they were a pound off, so I picked them up for just under £3.50 each! I love that they contain Lycra – usually, Lycra keeps my clothes super-body-con, but in this formula, it works to keep it “flexible” and reduce chips. They are super glossy, there really was no chipping for a whole week and the brushes are nice and wide so one sweep on my little nails was sufficient – love the no-nonsense, no-mess approach!
The shade I’m wearing, Hip Hop, was created by Kate Moss for her Kate for Rimmel line, while the other (Celebrity Bash and Beige Bare) are just two of the 20 colours in the range.
For £4.49 I think these are fabulous value for money, and as they give such great coverage with just one coat, makes me want to change my nail varnish colour daily! Who’d have thought!?
