Recently I’ve been trying out the Oriflame Everlasting Foundation with SkinRenew Complex. If you’ve not heard of Oriflame before, it’s a Swedish make-up and skincare brand that’s been around since 1967 – before most of us were born! They sell worldwide in over 60 countries, through direct selling, rather like the AVON concept of beauty “consultants” talking directly to the customer. Of course, as with most brands, everything is also available online.
This liquid formulation foundation promises to last up to 10 hours, and I have to say, every time I wore it, it lasted well and didn’t disappear into the skin by the end of the day, even after an hour of power walking through Central London from one press launch to another.
The pump dispenser is very receptive to the touch. I shook the bottle before using it, not because it advises you to, but because I always do – force of habit! The foundation is extremely lightweight on the skin, but gives great coverage – I would say it starts off with medium coverage, and is really easy to build to full coverage with just a half a pump more and a few extra swipes with your foundation brush (I used the Real Technique Buffing Brush for a really airbrushed finish). The silicone base gives the foundation an extremely velvety-smooth finish and I didn’t feel the need to use any powder to mattify it. The finish was exactly what I look for in a foundation – dewy, yet not shiny – very modern and fresh.
It’s very definitely moved into my roster of foundations that I reach for of a morning.
Have you tried anything from Oriflame? Anything else I should try?
