It’s not often I write about a perfume. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not that I don’t love fragrance. On the contrary. But it’s oh-so-difficult to convey a scent across a page. Rather like selling perfume on TV – I don’t quite get that either.
But this new fragrance from Liz Earle has got me all excited, so I just had to write about it. It’s the second fragrance from Liz Earle, and is totally different from the first.
No.15 is a spicy oriental, but it’s fresh and light at the same time, which makes it really very wearable day or night. It’s called No.15 to represent the 15 different botanicals that have been included in the fragrance, 90% of which have been derived from natural ingredients, in keeping with the Liz Earle ethos. They range from Bergamot and spicy Clove, to the delicious Tonka Bean ( I love that in the Elemis products too) Damask Rose and Cedarwood. There’s also Cinannamon, Sandalwood, Pink Pepper Berry and even Patchouli, amongst others.
It’s earthy and sexy and completely feminine. It’s got a ‘warm’ feeling to it, rather like being wrapped up snug in your favourite cashmere blanket and is perfect for the coming months. I can just imagine being enveloped in this on Bonfire Night as we wave the sparklers around (responsibly of course!) and feeling all snug and warm yet totally alluring.
I’m a little bit in love with the fragrance and the bottle too, which completely appeals to the minimalist side of me. Zeus, one of my kittens, has also given it his seal of approval too!
