I’ve had a few requests for a FOTD post to go with the last Style post that went up yesterday, so here it is.

It basically centres around a heavy eye, with lots of gold and black, paired with a nude-ish lip and unobtrusive, yet illuminating blush.

Here’s what I used:

Left to right: Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eyeliner (under the eye); Daniel Sandler Matte Shadow in Shade 238 (to shade the eye crease); Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner in Black as upper liner and in the inner rim); Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Pink Chocolate Matte; Chantecaille Bio-Lift Concealer in Shea; Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Creme Eyeshadow in Molten Bronze (across the eyelid); Hourglass No.28 Primer Serum (post HERE); YSL Le Teint Touch Eclat Foundation (post HEREΒ and HERE); Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara in Black (post HERE); Laura Geller Blush ‘n’ Brighten in Berry on the cheekbones.

Simple really!

Should I go more smokey, less defined, next time? What do you think?

Beautiful eyes! I like them just the way they are, I think the very defined liner with the gold is really pretty. I’ll definitely try this out for the holidays!

Thank you Martha! It really was super-easy to do…. If you’re doing it for the holidays, why not add a little sparkle too?
