If you’ve never watched QVC, the TV shopping channel, for beauty products, you’re missing a trick.  There are some great brands on there that you can’t buy anywhere else in the UK, and this especially true of some American brands, such as Mally Beauty (purveyor of one my favourite mascaras, but that’s a whole other post that’s begging to be written.)
One brand that I’ve felt brave enough to try out, thanks to the quite unbelievable 30-day money back guarantee is Laura Geller.  Now, this is not one of the brands that is exclusive to QVC in the UK, but I can’t think of one other stockist that would allow you to try out the product for 30 days and allow you return it for a refund if you decided it wasn’t for you.  Yes, I could wax lyrical forever on the great customer service from QVC, but that also is for another post.

Mally Beauty Lip Gloss
Boots No7 Volumising Mascara
I’ll get back to the point of this post.  Which is this FOTD (Face Of The Day in blogger speak) courtesy of this gorgeous little set of eyeshadow, eyeliner and double ended brush.  All featuring the very famous “baked” process that Laura Geller make-up is renowned for.  All put together in one convenient kit of coordinating colours, priced at an introductory £33.64 (current price as I write, although depending on when you’re reading this, it may be £37.)

QVC product number: 221500
The glory of baked shadows is that when you wet them, you truly intensify the colour impact.  So you could use this for a smoky day look, as I did in these photographs, or vamp it up for a dramatic evening eye look.  The colour payoff is so good, even when used dry, that you only need use a teeny weeny bit, so I can see these lasting for almost forever!

Eyeliner in Dutch Chocolate / Creme Brûlée combination
Eyeshadow in Starburst
Double-ended eyeshadow and eyeliner brush

Have you tried any baked make-up? I liked these so much, I might try some more, I’ll let you know how I get on.

Thanks Adeela, I’ve heard of those, I will give them a try – which shades would you recommend?
