A Ode to Margaux

I’m all about the iconic shoe, so Terry de Havilland’s Margaux is my ultimate pair from http://sarenza.co.uk.
What does this shoe not have that you could possibly want?  It’s super high yet the comfortable platform and wedge heel makes it perfect for all day and all night.  And while those two elements could make this tad unfeminine, the delicate strap snaking around the ankle bone takes it straight back into girlie territory.  Add to that the beautiful crossover detailing at the front of the shoe, the snakeskin leather, the delicate curve of the wedge and the silver colour and you’ve got the perfect wedge heel.

Can you tell I’m a little bit besotted? That’s why I own these in three different colours – yes, I know, I couldn’t decide which I liked most, so I bought all three.
Terry, (no, I’m not really on first name terms, although, boy, would I like to be!) is known as the master of the wedge shoe and with good reason.
The Margaux has been worn by just about every celebrity you care to mention, and I must admit, when I wear mine, I’m secretly hoping I’ll get papped and show up on the fashion and style pages of a glossy magazine or website.
They make me feel glamourous and girlie, a little bit rock’n’roll and totally important.

I love getting comments on them and I’ll always make sure to wear them with cropped trousers, a skirt or a dress, never hidden away under flares.  I mean, when a pair of shoes is as utterly gorgeous as these, why would you hide them away under swathes of fabric?
Maybe I’ll commission a glass case for them, just to show them off? What? At £463.50 (a steal), it’s no more than they deserve!
