Admittedly, year on year, the list of to-do’s get shorter and shorter, as reality and better self awareness take over (is this what they call maturity?) and I am more truthful about what I actually think I can achieve.
And in any case, why is the day when you’re most likely to be hungover, suffering from lack of sleep and wanting to hide under the duvet considered the best day to start a diet, begin an exercise regime and take up a new hobby? I mean, come on, really?
Nevertheless, along with millions of other hopefuls around the world, I will try to effect certain changes that will hopefully make me happier, a better person and more helpful to others.
What are your New Year resolutions? Or have you given up on them altogether? Is it possible to strike a happy balance.
And, bottom line. How many of us have “Lose Weight” at the top of the list?
