I don’t normally blog about my day, it’s not really that kind of blog…(although maybe I should? What do you think?) but today has been so amazing that before I write anything about the brands and products I “met” today, I just have to say WOW!
It started with a tour of the hallowed halls and studios at QVC Head Office near London’s Victoria station, meeting Tina and the presenter Julian Ballantyne, learning more about the new Clarisonic brush from their brand ambassador, make-up artist Daniel Sandler and then…. recording a presenter/guest slot with the utterly gorgeous Julian!! Should I post the video clip of me presenting? Not sure… What say you?
And if the day couldn’t get anymore exciting than that, I then went to meet the iconic Terry de Gunzburg, creator and founder of the beautiful, coverable and high-performance skincare and colour line, By Terry.
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to meet Terry, and by some twist of fate, I was late for my designated session to meet her so I literally had Terry all to myself, until halfway through, when the wonderful Alice Hart-Davis joined us (also late, which made me feel a little less guilty!)
After learning all about her new skincare products, the new colour range for Spring/Summer 2012 and her two amazing new foundations (lots of fab blogs posts to come – so many lovely new things to tell you about) I was then colour matched and made-up by über-make-up artist Darren Star, who’s worked on just about every celeb and every magazine title you could think of.
As I walked away from the By Terry team, I was literally floating on air, enveloped in a cloud of rose scent.
I’m still floating somewhere up there right now. And that’s the power of beauty.
