Long luscious hair has always been one of my dreams. Hailing as I do from Indian origin, I’ve been brought up with images of women with beautiful, shiny, frizz-free hair cascading down their backs, swinging and swishing as they go about their daily business….. you get the picture.
Sadly, mine has never really followed suit. So one of my all time holy grails has always been the one product that will transform MY hair to the hair of my dreams. I can’t even begin to recount how many different shampoos, conditioners, masks, oils, serums…… again, you get the picture!
Having heard about Moroccan Oil from a friend, I found a hairdresser who actually uses it as part of the blow-dry. Yes, you read that right. The oil was applied AFTER the shampoo, and BEFORE the blow-dry. Now, I’m not averse to using oil in my hair, but always before shampooing, rather like an intense pre-conditioner. So I was a little worried it might ‘fry’ the hair.
Fear not! The smoothest, softest (but not limp) hair greeted me at the end of my blow-dry, with bouncy curls, shiny beyond my wildest dreams and smelling adorably fresh and just ‘clean’.
So popular is this cult product (it’s already HUGE in the States), that I then couldn’t even buy a bottle to take home, as it was sold out and the salon was waiting for a delivery. It’s a hit with top hairdressers too – Hideshie Kondon of Stephan Way Hair said, “It is simply amazing to work with, I have never seen anything like it, the look and feel of the hair is so different”.
The product is infused with Argan Oil (more of this wonder product to come in a later blog post), which originates from the southwest region of Morocco, and it’s alcohol free too, so I imagine this will make children’s hair-washing a cinch too.
Another reason to use it (as if all this wasn’t enough?!) Blow-drying time is almost cut in half – so even if it did none of the above, this would be reason enough for me to stock up! When it comes back into stock, that is…..
