I’ve always fancied a little Herve Leger bandage dress, but couldn’t bring myself to part with the four figure price tag, so you can imagine how intrigued I was to hear that a new perfume by Herve Leger is being launched by Avon. (Actually, it’s the first from this couture house). Of course, I was expecting a curvey, voluptuous sexy sensuous bottle that positively oozes red carpet glamour.
Although substantial, the bottle isn’t what I expected. The ‘bandages’ are there, looking as if they are wrapped around the bottle in just the same way that the dresses are fashioned, but the bottle is a sturdy broad shouldered straight up-and-down affair. Strangely enough, although it’s not what I was hoping for, I do like it, and think it will look great on the dressing table and the pink tones of the perfume hit the spot for the summer season. Woody floral scents fuse with Vanilla, Morccan Orange Flower and Honeywood for a heady hit.
Priced at a very affordable £14, it is set to launch in September. Perhaps I can own a little bit of Herve Leger before the year is out.
