Smashbox rules!

When the top dogs at Estee Lauder sit at their dressing tables, they’re already spoilt for choice with the huge range of brands in their proverbial make-up bag, including familiar names and cult ones too, from Mac, Bobbi Brown and Aramis to Bumble & Bumble, Tom Ford and Aveda.

Smashbox, the latest recruit to the Estee Lauder stable brings true modern day Hollywood glamour to the game, as the Smashbox name is synonymous with A-list celebs, makeovers, photoshoots and red-carpet glam looks.

I’m so excited, as it’s deifntely one of my favourite brands and I’m really hoping that this will make it much easier to get hold of the fabulous products!

So far, the main stockist of the brand here in the UK has been QVC, and while I LOVE the QVC 30-day money-back guarentee nothing takes the place of trying out the products instore, and talking to the consultants and the totally self-pampering make-overs!

Smashbox, for those of you who aren’t familiar with the brand, started life in 1966, by the great-grandsons of the legendary Max Factor, so it’s got great make-up heritage from the get-go!

So here’s hoping that in the same vein as Bobbi Brown and Mac and even Ojon Haircare (another of my favourite brands previously only available on QVC and now, under the Estee Lauder umbrella, available widely in depatment stores), we’ll be able to get hold of Smashbox in stores – yippee! Sale completes in July, so keep your eyes peeled for Smashbox in stores sometime after – at least, here’s hoping!

Here’s my top five can’t-live-without Smashbox faves:

1: Photo Finish Foundation Primer
2: Halo Perfecting Powder
3: Jet Set Eyeliner
4: Face & Body Highligher
5: Luminous Cream Eye Liner Palette
